Queensland Vasey Housing Auxiliary (War Widows' Guild) was established in 1961 to provide suitable accommodation at an affordable price for war widows over 55 years of age. Today the Auxiliary manages six blocks of units (five in and around Brisbane), one in the Redcliffe area, as well as two holiday units at Caloundra on the North Coast.
All units are unfurnished and conveniently situated near medical, shopping and transport facilities. The units have one bedroom and are for independent living only. All repairs and maintenance is carried out by the Qld Vasey Housing Auxiliary.
Entry covers War Widows Guild Members over 55 years who have a Gold Card and Income Support Supplement (some conditions apply)

Holiday Units
These 2 holiday units are available for rent in Centrepoint apartment block in Caloundra. These units are exclusively for Guild Members and their families/friends to enjoy. The units are fully equipped and furnished with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. (4 people) They are close to the Transit Centre, beach and shopping centre. Families are welcome but should be accompanied by a War Widow Guild Member. Very reasonable rates apply.
